3” tall by 5” diameter

This species is commonly known as Box Elder, and when infested with beetles, will release a chemical as a natural antibody to drive out the infestation and this chemical will turn red inside the wood creating what is also called “flame box elder”. This particular form features only a small dash of pink but has a very nice ripple effect in the grain as well as a pleasing shape.
