This piece is 8.25” tall and 10.25” in diameter.
Known as a crater vessel, this form features some really cool characteristics. It has natural edge “wings” which follows the outside contour of the tree. It also has some fantastic spalting features as well as a side grain orientation so that you can see the very center of the tree from the side of the vessel. Silver maple is one of my favorites due to the varied way in which is presents, from one tree to the next.
