7” tall by 5” diameter

This form was made from wood that is endemic to Australia but has been transplanted into many warm weather environments around the world. More of a bush than a tree, the bottlebrush is so named for its distinct cylindrical flowers of various colors that resemble a brush used to clean a baby’s bottle. In this particular form, you see the darker heartwood, the lighter sapwood, as well as a bark feature that I decided to leave in this piece increasing its visual interest.
