This piece is 14.25” in diameter and 2.5” tall. Cuban Mahogany is a very difficult wood to get my hands on. I can only get this species if it is down by natural causes due to the very strict deforestation laws protecting it. This is a large bowl with a food safe finish of clear epoxy resin. It has a unique rim accent composed of recycled coffee grounds and clear epoxy resin. The grain markings in this piece make it truly unique. This pattern occurs at the juncture of a large limb and the trunk of the tree. It is often referred to as “crotch” pattern or plume mahogany. This piece can be fitted with a hanger to be shown as a wall piece.
