This piece is 7” in diameter and 10.75” tall. Norfolk Island Pine is a species that only grows in a sub-tropical and tropical environment. They have been transplanted to south Florida and they grow well there. The blue spalting and concentric pattern of limb growth are both evident in this piece. It is a rather tall piece and has a very striking grain pattern. This piece also has quite a few areas that were filled with a fill of coffee grounds and clear resin. These areas were excavated in the wood by termite colonies before the wood was harvested and turned on the lathe.
