This piece is 4” tall and 8.5” in diameter.
This species grows in moist areas, particularly around creeks and rivers. The very large trees of this species, will develop a beautiful rusty red color in the heart of the tree. The species spalts well and has an interlocking grain structure which produces a “flecked” appearance when looked at closely.
