This abstract is composed of 14 different species of trees with a total of 32 individual pieces. Each piece is individually sculpted on the lathe while the wood is still full of moisture and then the wood moves naturally as it dries out completely. After these pieces were fully dry, they were finished with epoxy resin. The entire abstract installs collectively as one unit.
