This piece was turned thin from a green state (full of moisture). It was allowed to dry naturally giving it a wonderfully warped bespoke feel. You can turn this piece and get a different look from it even though it is painted white due to the way the lines undulate after changing shape through drying. You can still see the grain really well in this piece because oak is an open grained wood and paint does not fill in the grain. Its a
