This piece measures 9” diameter by 3.25” tall.

This piece was turned thin and allowed to dry naturally to accentuate the bespoke nature of the piece. When forms dry naturally, the warp somewhat so the form becomes asymmetrical. The piece was distressed to some degree by sanding through the paint on the high ridges to give some distressed contrast. You can still see the grain of the wood clearly through the paint because oak is open grained. This effect enhances the overall appeal of the piece.
